If you thought that blueberry puree is just for babies think again! Uses are endless! Make a cocktail, top off your oatmeal, drizzle over cakes and more! Here's how to make it!
- Lime or Lemon juice -Simple syrup (or Honey Syrup) - Blueberries - Water
Place blueberries in a colander and give them a quick rinse. Drain and transfer to a blender. Add the simple (honey) syrup and a squeeze of lime or lemon juice.
Blend for 30-45 seconds on medium-high speed or until smooth. You may have to stop a few times to scrape the sides. If it is too thick you can add in a splash of water as well.
Use right away and store the leftovers in a jar and tighten it with the lid. As long as it is stored in the fridge, it should stay fresh up to 3 days.
Use it to make drinks (i.e. smoothies and cocktails) or as a drizzle over ice cream, oatmeal, or cakes.
