Learn why and how to massage kale using my foolproof technique and make kale taste better.
- Kale - Extra virgin olive oil (or any other neutral oil would work) - Kosher salt
Wash kale leaves under running water, remove the leaves from the stems and dry them as much as possible. Drizzle with olive oil and salt (optional).
Using clean hands, massage (gently rub) kale leaves for 2-3 minutes turning often to make sure all kale leaves are softened.
There are so many uses of massaged kale but the most popular one is making salads just like this Apple Kale Slaw recipe.
