We have friends visiting us this week. Russell and Pyleta.
Russell is one of Dwight’s best friends. They go way back.
I love it when we have friends over because we get to do things that we wouldn’t normally do.
Just like this past Saturday. We went sailing.

Sounds fancy, right?
You know it. It was.
I have to confess; it was my first time on a sailboat and I LOVED it.
We spent 6 hours (1 of which I slept like a baby) on a beautiful sailboat.
When we first moved to Virgin Gorda, a wise man told us “if you do not like the weather on the island, just wait for 15 minutes and you will see how fast it changes”.
He is so true. What started as a rainy and cloudy day turned into a beautiful, sunny day.
And boy, did we enjoy it!
The highlights of our day were:

being able to spend some quality time with my hubby and our friends,

eating great food and drinking lots of wine on a beautiful table setting on the boat,

resting (mostly sleeping) as we enjoyed the calm breeze of the ocean,

stopping at different harbors and taking pictures,

making new friends; Captain Bob and Johnny from Sail Bravura,

and simply having a good, “not-so-ordinary” Saturday.

Ayse, I find myself staying up half the night reading your articles and so enjoying the pictures. Seeing my best friend, Dwight and yourself, tells me that marriage has been good for both of you. A absolutely stunning website. Love to you both.
